Saturday

The Tory Government tried to ban singing at political demonstrations. Members of participatory theatre group The Common Lot are here to prove that the music will never stop. They’ll be sharing and singing songs from over 400 years of English political history – some tunes you know and some you’ll be glad to learn. Sit and watch or join in and add your voice to the chorus of protest.

Throughout the weekend The Faraway Forest will be alive to the sound of political protest.

We live in fast-moving, ever-changing and turbulent times. We must not be overwhelmed. People have the power if they unite and let their voices heard. And this year at Latitude you can learn how to find that power and how to use it.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11.00am learn how to write and deliver a powerful political speech with help from theatre company Dash Arts and Concept consultancy NoDoubleDutch. Then on Sunday come back and take part and give your speech at our rally for change.

Also on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 3pm-5pm, The Common Lot Theatre, will be singing protest songs from 400 years of English history. Come and watch or join in the chorus of protest.

Make sure your voice is heard!
