Gutter&Stars is Cambridge’s first and only winery. Housed in the basement of the Grade-II-listed Chesterton Mill in the heart of the city, winemaker Chris Wilson makes small-batch still wines from English grapes. Established in 2020 and Chris works with grape growers in Essex, Oxfordshire and Kent to ensure that only the best quality grapes come through the door of the windmill winery. Each wine has a musical reference in its name or across its label; recent artists to feature include The Stone Roses, Idlewild, Joy Division and Blur. The wines have received stellar reviews from the likes of Decanter, The Guardian and Jancis Robinson, and in 2023 Gutter&Stars won the Drinks Business Best Design & Packaging award.
