Rosie Lowe: a boundary-pushing UK artist continually genre-hopping through her music.
Over the past decade, the Devon-born, Deptford-based singer, songwriter, and producer has carved out a unique space for herself in British music. From her acclaimed debut Control to collaborations with icons like Jay Electronica, Little Simz, and Duval Timothy, Rosie’s work consistently defies categorisation.
Her latest album, Lover, Other, is a “collage” of influences, weaving choral harmonies, intricate electronics and field recordings with her unmistakable and unique vocals. Across each of the 15 tracks, she explores themes of love, grief, self-doubt, and celebration, to create something deeply personal.
Rosie’s ever-evolving musical process is as organic as it is intricate, layering her vocals on top of one another and incorporates field recordings from her travels through Spain, Sri Lanka, and Devon.
Drawing inspiration from Brazilian bossa nova, Japanese experimental sounds, and her travels, the album blends these elements into a soundscape that feels both introspective and expansive.
