Lavish Lounge Arena
Warming up for our exciting Late Lounge guests, new for this year we have the young, talented Lavish House Band led by Josef Akin, who will be performing a Jazz-Mash Up of covers for your delight. Joining Josef onstage are musicians Harry Weir: powerhouse tenor saxophonist from Paisley, Scotland who has become widely recognised in the jazz world for his ferocious playing.
Also, Norman Villeroux – French bass wizard who has more basses than most people have clothes, and who does things with a bass most people didn’t even realise was possible. And Roan Anderson – rising star of Scotland on the drums, young Roan hits the drums like a rocker but has the finesse of the best jazz drummers around. You can see Josef Akin with his band performing his own repertoire on Sunday as part of the BBC Introducing Stage line-up.
