Explore your fun-filled Family programme

We are thrilled to reveal our most exciting family programme to date — an adventure-filled line-up designed to spark creativity, fuel curiosity, and create magical moments for families of all ages. Whether you’re a wide-eyed toddler, a curious tween, or a grown-up who’s young at heart, Latitude offers a world of discovery, packed with opportunities to explore, play, and make memories together.

While the whole festival site is welcoming to families, Latitude is proud to offer three dedicated areas designed especially for young explorers and their grown-ups: The Kids Area, The Enchanted Garden, and Camp Greenpeace. In these spaces, children and parents alike can engage in hands-on workshops, performances, outdoor adventures, and creative sessions—all carefully curated to ignite imaginations and inspire connection.

These areas are crafted to spark curiosity and encourage free-spirited exploration, making Latitude a true haven for adventurous families. Every workshop, activity, and performance is completely free of charge, with only the funfair requiring additional payment. We believe in offering families the freedom to try everything, without limits or hidden costs, so that everyone can soak up the festival magic to the fullest.

We’ve always believed that Latitude should be as inspiring and welcoming for children as it is for adults. This year’s family programme is full of opportunities for young people to create, explore, and perform. Whether it’s building a ship with Greenpeace, trying breakdancing for the first time, or designing your own board game, every activity is designed to help families connect, experiment, and have fun together. – Sharon Rueben, Latitude’s Family Programmer

The Kids Area: Adventure and Discovery

The beating heart of Latitude’s family offering, The Kids Area, is open daily from 10am to 6pm and promises hours of play, creativity and discovery. From theatre workshops and interactive performances to bubble-blowing, breakdancing, bug-hunting safaris and sensory play — there’s something for every child, from toddlers to teens.

Parents can pick up a Family What’s On Guide at the Kids Area Info Caravan, a handy tool to help plan your day. The Loft Baby & Toddler Tent offers a welcoming space for soft play, baby changing, feeding, and quiet time, while The Kids Theatre Tent hosts a lively programme of puppetry, song and dance workshops, comedy and drama.

A standout highlight for 2025 is the enchanting new show Grandpa Poseidon by international award-winners Wright & Grainger — a whimsical tale of a retired god and a young child finding their way in a seaside town, packed with storytelling, song, and interactive magic for children aged 7+.

For book-loving creatives, The Hive is a vibrant geodome home to storytelling workshops, doodling, and poetry sessions with illustrators and authors including Kev Payne, Sam Barnes, Joel Millerchip, and the team from Magic Cat Publishing.

The Woodcraft Folk Woodland Base invites families to make tin-can lanterns, learn knot skills, and play ukulele around the campfire. Crafty hands can also try their skills at stained glass mosaics, leatherwork, and sculpture, offering creative keepsakes to take home.

Other highlights include Professor Slug, an interactive adventure all about helping bugs feel better, a flour-filled slapstick comedy with the Doughy Bottom Bakers, and grammar-through-rap workshops from MC Grammar, World Book Day ambassador. Families can also join a playful retelling of Alice in Wonderland with The Mad Hatter, or try their hand at breakdancing with Kelfx & Francis.

The Enchanted Garden: A Relaxed, Magical Space

A short walk from the Kids Area, The Enchanted Garden offers a gentler pace with a rich mix of free activities from 9am to 4pm daily. Based in the Family Campsite but open to anyone with children under 16 — including day ticket holders — this space is perfect for creative exploration, nature-inspired play, and calm, imaginative fun.

The Colour Town Project, designed by artist Vix, offers playful workshops in messy art and imaginative painting. The Family Yoga Tent helps parents and children unwind together with relaxing yoga sessions, while Baby Sensory East Suffolk delivers interactive sessions for the littlest festival-goers.

At The Canopy Stage, families can enjoy music, comedy, games, and dance workshops in the open air. Paris Bubbles will fill the sky with foam and bubbles, sparking pure childlike wonder. Young inventors can launch paper rockets at Rocketude or dive into eco-friendly sticker-making at the Festival Sticker Art workshops — proving there’s always another adventure waiting around every corner.

Get Medieval brings history to life with ‘A Knight Out’, offering activities such as Knight School where participants can learn combat skills, archery and engage in duels and team fights, alongside crafts and object handling.

Camp Greenpeace: Nature-Focused Fun and Adventure

Latitude’s love for the outdoors shines brightest at Camp Greenpeace, where families can dive into eco-adventures designed to connect young festival-goers with nature. Nestled among the trees just minutes from the Kids Area, this vibrant space encourages hands-on fun while inspiring care for the planet.

Children can learn outdoor skills at Bushcraft Sessions, build dream catchers and woven loom rugs, or explore the world on a guided Nature Trail. The Big Tree Climbing Company will be on hand to help kids scale trees and soar through the air on thrilling ziplines, while the popular Greenpeace Climbing Nets offer even more opportunities for adventurous play. With all these exciting activities, grown-ups can recharge at the Greenpeace Café, located nearby.

Across the site, the festival’s programme is sprinkled with moments of surprise and delight for all ages, making it a must-visit destination for families who love the outdoors.

Latitude’s commitment to families goes beyond the activities — it’s about creating an atmosphere where imaginations can roam freely and memories can be made without limits. By combining a festival-wide welcome with dedicated safe spaces for play, learning, and discovery, Latitude 2025 invites families to connect, explore and celebrate creativity together.
