More music added to our 18th edition

Our 18th edition is just over one week away! We’re continuing to champion creativity, diversity, and artistic brilliance by announcing even more musical delights to our line up…

Opening the Obelisk stage on Sunday, acclaimed artist and environmental activist Sam Lee will deliver a performance that connects music and nature. Lee’s career highlights include his Mercury Prize-winning album “Old Wow” and his conservation project, “Singing with Nightingales.” His latest album, “Songdreaming,” released this year, is a manifesto for reconnection with nature, featuring reinterpretations of songs from the UK’s Traveller communities. Inspired by Lee’s summer retreats, “Songdreaming” aims to bring people together through song, reflecting Indigenous communities’ relationships with nature.

Dutch alt-indie trio Pip Blom joins the second stage lineup at Latitude, marking a significant milestone in their career. Led by the eponymous Pip Blom, the band is currently enjoying success with their latest album, “Bobbie,” and its infectious single, “Get Back.” This third record showcases a shift towards catchy synth-pop, produced by Dave McCracken, known for his work with Jay-Z and Kanye West, and has received critical acclaim.

Norwich-based sextet Brown Horse will bring their distinctive UK country sound to the Latitude Sunrise Arena. Originally a four-piece, the band now features lead vocalist Patrick Turner, whose unique voice adds a mysterious allure to their music. With rich instrumentation and harmonious backing vocals, Brown Horse evokes the sepia tones of the old west. Their tracks “Stealin’ Horses” and “Sunfisher” blend traditional country with modern storytelling, drawing comparisons to The Band and the Burrito Brothers.

London-based singer, saxophonist, and producer Laura Misch also joins the Latitude lineup with her meditative jazztronica, field recordings, and folk songs. Known for her atmospheric mix of neo-soul and jazz on her debut EP “Shaped by Who We Knew,” Misch’s latest album, “Sample The Earth,” marks a shift towards stripped-back chamber jazz. Inspired by natural environments and electronic composers, her music features field recordings and a deep connection to sound textures. Misch’s collaborations with musicians Marysia Osu and Tomáš Kašpar, and her involvement with the electronic drone choir NYX, highlight her commitment to innovative music-making.
